...and who doesn't love a bio?
SAM ANTHONY was an early adopter of saying weird things on the internet. He is a member of the Cult of the Dead Cow, creaters of the original e-zine. His writing on technology has been published in Slate, Quanta Magazine, Axios, and in his newsletter. He is also a deeply strange modular synthesist. https://buttondown.com/apperceptive
LEAH DE FOREST's debut novel, Any Kind of Known Tomorrow, is out now from Betty, an imprint of WTAW Press. Her short stories and essays have appeared in Griffith Review, Writer's Digest, CRAFT Literary, Bodega Magazine and Fiction Writers Review, among other venues. She serves as a senior editor at Bloom, a literary website featuring authors who debut at forty or older, and publishes The Point of View Playbook, a craft resource for writers. Leah teaches in the graduate writing program at Harvard Extension School. https://leahdeforest.net/
TIM DEVIN (he/him) is an artist, writer, and proud self-publisher. Tim's projects look at communities, and the DIY spirit. His work has been covered by NPR and Canadian Public Radio, and his zines are in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art and the Tate Museum. For some reason. https://timdevin.com
BETHANY LEAVEY is the lead singer and bass player for Boston garage punk band Thrust Club. Her second grade teacher was very impressed by a poem she wrote once. Her writing has been featured nowhere and the self-published zines from her teen years remain on permanent display in her childhood bedroom, where she uses the poetry contained within to terrify guests. https://thrustclub.bandcamp.com/
SUZANNE MERCURY is a poet whose work lies in the interstices of the natural and metaphysical world. Change, light, growth, decay, and death are the lifeblood of the natural world and of earth, and her work is a conversation with this. She is the author of Hive (2023, Lily Poetry Review and Press) as well as numerous chapbooks. A graduate of Smith College and Syracuse University’s MFA program, she lives in the greater Boston area where she keeps bees and plants gardens.
JANE ROPER is the author of the novels Superhost (forthcoming), The Society of Shame (a finalist for the Thurber Prize for American Humor in Writing) and Eden Lake, and a memoir, Double Time: How I Survived–and Mostly Thrived–Through the First Three Years of Mothering Twins. Her essays and humor have appeared in Salon, McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, The Millions, Poets & Writers, LitHub, NPR, and elsewhere. A graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, Jane currently lives just north of Boston with her husband and two cats, one of whom sucks. https://janeroper.com/
ANNA V. Q. ROSS writes poems about motherhood, migration, politics, loss, and chickens, sometimes all at once. She encourages laughter. Her most recent book is Flutter, Kick (Red Hen Press), which won the Benjamin Saltman Poetry Award and was named a “Best New Poetry Book” by the New York Public Library. Her work has been supported by fellowships from the Fulbright Foundation, Massachusetts Cultural Council and elsewhere, and appears in Adroit Poetry Journal, American Poetry Review, The Kenyon Review, The Nation, Plume and on The Slowdown. https://www.annavqross.com/
